Construction WIP Reporting & Job Cost Software

Know what the remaining work means for your margin.

Compare approved contract value, actual job costs and estimated cost to complete. Turn project records into a management WIP view for your next review.

A practical workflow for a familiar problem.

Billing tells you what you have charged. It does not tell you what the unfinished work will cost. Reviewing actual costs together with the remaining forecast helps expose budget pressure while there is still work to manage.

01

Compare budget, actual and forecast

Review project cost categories and the estimate at completion. Update remaining-cost estimates as conditions change.

02

Separate earned revenue from billings

Use cost-to-cost progress to compare estimated earned revenue with gross progress billed and identify overbilling or underbilling.

03

Follow forecast profitability

See how revised cost-to-complete estimates affect forecast gross profit and margin. Keep the assumptions behind the numbers in the project review.

04

Bring a report to the meeting

Export management reports for project financial performance, budget versus actual, WIP and receivables.

Questions before you get started

What information do I need for WIP?

Start with approved contract value, actual costs to date, estimated cost to complete and gross progress billings. The quality of the report depends on keeping those records current.

Is billed percentage the same as completion?

No. This WIP view estimates completion using costs incurred divided by the current total cost forecast. Billings are compared separately.

Is QuickBooks synchronization included?

QuickBooks Online connection, directory import and paid expense import are available. Automatic financial transaction synchronization is in development. Bank and payroll synchronization are not currently enabled.
